HOW TO USE THE MULCHING MAT CORRECTLY?
Weed control fabric is a modern solution made of fine polypropylene fibres in a dark colour. It offers excellent water permeability and protection against UV radiation. The dark shade regulates the soil temperature on hot days, providing optimal conditions for plant growth and protecting the root system.
Step by step – Installing the Weed Control Fabric:
1. Unrolling and cutting:
- Unroll the roll and adjust the length.
2. Preparing the ground:
- Clear the area of weeds and stones.
- Fix the fabric down with pegs or anchors to stop it shifting.
3. Planting:
- At the planting spot make a cut in the shape of the letter „X”.
- Match the opening to the size of the root system, avoiding cuts that are too big.
4. Joining sections:
- When joining rolls, overlap them and secure them with pegs or anchors.
5. The finishing touch:
- Spread mulch evenly over the laid mat to improve the look and give the fabric extra protection.
